Although many of the Dutch are generally not in the habit of drinking at lunch, situations do of course arise that are enhanced by a glass of wine. Cider and perry are excellent alternatives, as they are much lower in terms of alcoholic content.
Ferme de la Poulardière poiré
A nice refreshing alternative to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh acidity, a touch of minerals and a smidgen of sweet pears. With only 4% alcohol, these biological perries from the Domfront region are lovely in combination with a fresh salad, a fish dish (with not too heavy a sauce) or a poultry dish.
Redlove premium cider
Dutch cider with a crisp acidity made from the redlove apple. Receptive, with a small amount of apple sweetness. Delicious as an aperitif, but also as a good option to compliment a lunch of fish or white meat.
